Reserve your whole grass-fed beef from Kropf Meadows Farm! Our Dexter cattle are raised entirely on pasture with a 100% grass-fed, grass-finished diet—no grain, no hormones, no unnecessary antibiotics. Just pure, nutrient-dense beef the way nature intended.

A whole beef share is perfect for large families or those who want to stock up for the year. You’ll get the complete variety of cuts—ground beef, roasts, and premium steaks—all custom-cut to your specifications.

How It Works:

• Deposit: $800 (non-refundable, applied to final balance)
• Final Price: $6.50 per pound hanging weight (+ processing)
• Balance Due: Prior to pickup based on actual hanging weight provided by butcher

What to Expect:

As you are considering the amount of beef to order, remember that a Dexter beef animal is smaller than a traditional beef animal. A whole Dexter steer will likely result in hanging weight of 350-500 hanging weight or 210-300 lbs of meat for your freezer.

The price per pound of meat is comparable to other breeds but the amount (and similarly the total price) of the whole or half is less than you may have had with other beef animals. If you’re targeting a specific quantity of meat for your freezer, consider ordering a bit more.
